What You’ll Do:

An HR Coordinator position is often exposed to all human resources procedures and assists with tasks throughout all areas of the HR department. This HR Coordinator role will primarily be responsible for monitoring the HR general email and ticketing system; helping workers report safety incidents; creating and maintaining personnel files; and guiding employees through various human resource processes, answering any questions they may have about policies. An HR Coordinator may also assist with administering benefits, onboarding employees, learning/assisting with payroll-related tasks, and escalating any problems or questions appropriately. The position also has an active role in ensuring all human resource functions are complying with local, state and federal regulations. Additional HR Coordinator duties may include: 

  • Consulting with the employer and identifying best practices
  • Utilizing time for most efficient productivity
  • Taking service requests and routing to appropriate HR team member
  • Assisting in workers compensation reporting and safety management
  • Inputting time records for payroll processing
  • Helping with new employee orientation
  • Keeping process paperwork and employment records 

What We're Looking for:

The Human Resources Generalist will need the following experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Competence in various Human Resources functional areas; onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and organizational development; compliance
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Human Resources
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information in a professional manner
  • Demonstrates an elevated level of judgment and discretion

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline is highly desired
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification - Preferred
  • Must pass pre-employment reference and a background check
