As a Traveling Physician Assistant in Dermatology, you will work collaboratively with dermatologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with a variety of skin conditions. This role involves traveling to different clinic sites, conducting patient assessments, performing dermatological procedures, and assisting in the management of dermatological treatments. Your primary goal will be to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the overall success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • - Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
  • - Diagnose and treat common dermatological conditions, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin infections.
  • - Perform minor surgical procedures, such as biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy.
  • - Educate patients on skin care, preventive measures, treatment options, and post-procedure care.
  • - Collaborate with dermatologists and other healthcare providers to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • - Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and practice policies.
  • - Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with dermatological advances and best practices.
  • - Travel to various clinic locations as scheduled to meet patient needs.
  • - Provide exceptional customer service and build rapport with patients to ensure a positive experience.

Qualifications:

  • - Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
  • - Current PA license in the state where services will be provided; additional licensure in multiple states is a plus.
  • - Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • - Previous experience in dermatology or a related field preferred.
  • - Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • - Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
