Dermatology Credentialing Specialist

CERRITOS, CA

The Credentialing Coordinator/Specialist will handle administrative team tasks and components of the credentialing process.  This position ensures practitioners’ onboarding and credentialing records are maintain in accordance with applicable entities.  In this role, the individual will ensure records are accurate and complete for processing and submission. 

Responsibilities

  • Creation and data entry of new provider profiles in Database
  • Screening practitioners' initial application and supporting documentation.
  • Following up on pending applications and documentation from new providers.
  • Maintain the expiration of licenses/certifications for provider files to maintain renewals.
  • Manage Team Group Box.
  • Monitors and notifies re-credentialing applications reviews.
  • Notifies Health Plan entities of Termed Providers and/or locations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent 
  • 1+ year of knowledge of credentialing standards and regulations
  • Working Knowledge of CAQH
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel 
  • Excellent organizational and time management
