Summary of Position
Skin and Cancer Institute is a U.S.-based dermatology group looking to hire a full-time Senior Accountant based in the Philippines. This is a remote and direct-hire position. We are not a recruiting agency. The selected candidate will work directly with our company on a long-term basis. The schedule will follow U.S. Pacific Time. Healthcare or medical office experience is preferred.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the company's accounting software transition project by organizing, validating, and saving all historical accounting system backups to the shared drive to ensure data preservation and accessibility. This individual will actively participate in software implementation meetings, collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, assist with data migration activities, perform system testing, document processes, and support any tasks necessary for a successful implementation. The implementation effort is expected to last approximately 4 to 6 months. Upon successful completion of the project and go-live phase, the Senior Accountant will transition back to supporting the accounting team with regular accounting responsibilities, including month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and other routine accounting functions
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Qualifications/Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and have a minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience supporting ERP system implementations, data migration projects, or document retention initiatives is highly preferred.
- Should possess a strong understanding of general ledger accounting, month-end close processes, accounts payable operations, and internal controls.
- A proven ability to manage large volumes of accounting documentation, maintain accuracy under deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is essential.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and document management skills with the ability to collect, review, categorize, and maintain accounting records in preparation for a new ERP implementation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data validation and analysis.
- Solid knowledge of the accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, vendor management, three-way matching, and payment reconciliation.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills are required to support ERP implementation activities, ensure data integrity, assist with AP operations, and help drive process improvements throughout the accounting department.

- BS in Accounting, preferably a CPA
